Welcome to AnnexFour ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at annexfour.com (the "Service") and our software applications. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. No Legal Advice (Critical Disclaimer)

AnnexFour provides technical analysis software, not legal advice.

The reports, scans, and documentation generated by our Service are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute a legal opinion or guarantee of compliance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act or any other regulation. You are solely responsible for obtaining qualified legal counsel to verify your compliance status. We explicitly disclaim all liability for regulatory fines, penalties, or damages resulting from reliance on our Service.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

• Accounts: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• Subscriptions: Paid services (e.g., Pro Plan) are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal.
• Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers.

4. Intellectual Property

• Our IP: The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, remains the exclusive property of AnnexFour.
• Your IP: We do not claim ownership of the code repositories you scan. By submitting a repository URL, you grant us a temporary, limited license to clone and analyze the code solely for the purpose of generating your report. We do not retain your source code after the analysis is complete ("Ephemeral Scanning").

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall AnnexFour, its directors, employees, or agents, be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam.
